Chemguard supplies a complete line of surfactants for formulating reliable fire-fighting foams, including very heat stable fluorosurfactants. Our surfactants are manufactured and tested to the highest standards in the industry.
Chemguard’s fluorosurfactants – which can be formulated to produce very dense, stable foam – exhibit outstanding fire-fighting properties and have become the industry standard for high-performance fire-fighting foam fluorosurfactants. Chemguard offers a broad range of fluorosurfactants for use in aqueous film-forming foam (AFFF), alcohol-resistant aqueous film-forming foam (AR-AFFF), fluoroprotein (FP), film-forming fluoroprotein (FFFP), and alcohol-resistant film-forming fluoroprotein (AR-FFFP) agents.
Chemguard fire-fighting fluorosurfactants are based on perfluorinated telomer chemistry and do not contain perfluorooctylsulfonate (PFOS) or perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA), or derivatives of PFOS or PFOA, as intentional ingredients. These telomer-based products are the safest fluorosurfactants on the market today. Importantly, low concentrations of fluorosurfactants can be used in conventional formulations, reducing the total release into the environment when used in fighting fires.
